Would you say that when starting a journey and to get where you are going, it might be advisable to know the address?
To find your purpose
in life, you must set a goal, draw a map,
and start the journey.
Once you begin , you
need to enjoy the journey and
focus on what’s really important in life.
Along the way, on the paths that you are destined to travel you may stumble and you will be challenged! Your courage, your faith, your
strengths and your weaknesses will be tested.
But, these inconveniences (and sometimes disappointments) force
us to think, look, listen and make pivotal changes in our lives.
It is important to NOT view your life’s journey as a destination. With this view we are actually limiting our happiness and personal growth.
Mark Twain –
“Your limitations may just be in your mind.
Life is NOT a clear cut journey with a defined beginning and a definite
arrival point! In my opinion, in order to have peace of
mind and happiness throughout your life the first and most important matter at hand is getting our spiritual life in the right direction.
Success on your journey
depends a lot on how you plan and what attitude you develop towards it. Half of your success is the foundation for
your journey. Start by identifying and
developing the positive traits of your character and doing everything possible
to eliminate the bad ones. Keep your
knowledge, understanding and insight continually expanding! It has been proven ..."we
attract not what we want but who we are and if we are to attract better people
and circumstances, we must build those qualities in ourselves." Therefore...surround
yourself with the type of people you want to be!
Accept that this journey of
life is a process!
Enjoy the adventures!
It is never too late to do what you want to do;
to act on your destiny.
“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it
living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with
the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions
drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow
your heart and intuition.” – Steve Jobs
Final thoughts I try to remember
and would like to pass on to you…
#1 – was listed above – get your
spiritual life in the right direction – FIRST.
#2 - We can control what happens to us most of the time by
controlling our words, thoughts and actions. When people give away to their emotions
and feelings is often when they do things that they regret later.
#3 - Don’t
live for others! Don’t choose your path in life based on the expectations set
on you by others, whether its your parents, friends, or society in general. Set
your own goals and dream your own dreams.
#4 - Live for others. What? (I just said - DON'T).....Yes, don’t let others choose your path for
you, BUT don’t choose a path that will hurt those around you. It’s easy to get caught up in your own life, BUT if you don’t take care of those you love, what is it all for in the end?
#5 - Take care
of your body.
Eat healthy, get a good night’s sleep, and exercise.
#6 - Take care of your mental
health, your mind...every single day! Stop feeding your mind a constant
stream of junk. A little downtime is
healthy, but don’t dedicate every free hour you have to watching realty TV or
doing other stuff that requires little mental energy. And here’s some breaking
news…..even the "news" can rot your brain with its constant barrage of negativity
and biased sensationalism.
Stay positive
– eliminate the negative!
Enjoy the journey
Be Well
This journey of life is a road trip– enjoy each day and don’t carry too much baggage.
